Dr. Dos was spooked by a lost soul.

Plutonia.wad ONE DAY I WILL DEFEAT YOU. Just not on hurt me plenty because only babies play on that.

Edit: Map 2 is equally terrible

I beat Plutonia on Ultra-Violence. Shit was easy.

However, I found TNT.wad to be hard.

I always thought that both Final Doom WADs were much harder than any other Dooms that I'd played... having played them with just a keyboard probably doesn't help, but Revenants on map 1 are just wrong!

Which source port are you using, that fixes the over/under 25 health bug with the medikits?

TNT: Evilution isn't that bad. It's difficult, but has a much gentler progression.

And I'm using ZDoom.

Actually I like the level designs for Plutonia, though the maps do start out very strong. The mancubii at the end of map01 piss me off.

What Plutonia needed was original music.

Not sure if it makes a difference to you but Chocolate Doom delivers a better "authentic" experience than ZDoom if you're playing Final Doom for the first time. Since you did not name yourself "Dr. Win32" it might be of some interest.

I run around with my WASD+mouselook these days.

And though I do have keys bound to jump/duck I don't use them. Although it is fun in Doom 2 to beat dead simple by just jumping on the platform and hitting the exit switch.
